New WR-3 Plus Wireless Anemometer: The Breakthrough Innovation in Construction Safety
We rebuilt the previous WR-3 Wireless Anemometer model into something better and more powerful. Here are few things you should know:
Wind and height are the two most common underlying challenges in implementing workplace safety in the construction industry. More than 100 people were killed and 394 others were injured in a tragic crane collapse in Mecca, Saudi Arabia in 2015, making it one of the deadliest crane collapse incidents in modern history after the New York Crane accident in 2008.
The incident was found to be related to strong winds which could have been prevented if there was proper wind monitoring in the first place. Wind monitoring can be achieved using simple tools, such as anemometers. With today’s construction landscape that continues to thrive in innovation and complexity, traditional wired-anemometer offers certain limitation when it comes to height and length. This is where the wireless anemometer fills the gap. If you are using a wireless anemometer already, then you should know that wireless anemometer offers benefits that the traditional wired anemometer does not.
To solve these challenges, we are excited to announce the WR-3 Plus—a powerful compact wireless anemometer for industrial applications and long-term environmental monitoring.
More Advanced, Less Hassle
The new WR-3 Plus is simple but yet powerful. It consists of two main parts; a wind sensor (transmitter) and a portable receiver. The system measures and displays not only wind speed but also Beaufort scale, wind chill, temperature, and atmospheric pressure in high accuracy.
The WR-3 Plus has added a new data logging function to store data up to one year . Compared to previous model, the transmission distance has increased to 500 meters by using the latest wireless technology. Users can get alerted instantly by visual and audible alarms if wind speeds exceed threshold. With the help of live alarm warning, you don’t need to constantly monitor and worry whether there is high wind. Just forget it and let WR3 Plus notify you automatically.
Here are the new improved features you should know:
- Live Wind Load Warning: Now users never have to worry about high wind. Get alert instantly by high-volume alarm when wind speed exceeds certain limit. The colors of receiver screen display will be highlighted and changed based on safety standard.
- Data Logging: Backed by customers’ feedback, we develop a data logging function into new WR-3 Plus, making data tracking easier for you. Users can access to the following data:
- Live/Average/Maximum Wind Speed
- Beaufort Bar Graph
- Wind Chill
- Ambient Temperature
- Atmospheric Pressure
- Industrial-Grade Wind Speed Sensor: The new IP-67 all-weatherproof wind speed sensor is built for harsh and demanding environments. It is designed to be long-lasting and easy-maintenance for any industrial use you can imagine. From construction to marine industry, the new WR-3 Plus is the go-to wireless anemometer across industries.
- Wind Speed Data Recording: Data helps you to make crucial decision, we help you to make it happen with the data recording function. The 64MB built-in memory can record wind speed, temperature, and air pressure data up-to 1 year long. Export easily historical wind data into Excel format using micro USB output. Open it anywhere in tablet or computer. Simple and helpful.
All the new features are designed to combined many advanced functions in one-device. Once you use the new WR-3 Plus, you will never look back to the old traditional anemometer anymore. The new WR3 Plus is the anemometer you can trust- one device conquers all.

Pick a perfect Anemometer
How to Choose the Perfect Anemometer for Construction Site Safety?
There are many different types of anemometers in the market with different functionalities. Before choosing any of the anemometers, you have to get complete knowledge about it in order to meet your demands. Here is a glimpse of information about different types of anemometers.
Choosing anemometers is particularly important in situations where loads and equipment will be raised significantly above the ground or building, which is especially relevant when planning tasks involving crane operation and heavy lifting. Attaching an anemometer to the boom point is a sensible way to monitor the different wind speeds at operating altitudes for cranes.
Heat Stress
What is Heat Stress?
Heat stress is the effect that the thermal environment has on a person’s ability to maintain a normal body temperature. Physical work generates heat in the body which must be lost to the environment through sweating and evaporation. A hot or humid environment makes this more difficult and this can affect both mental and physical performance. Inability to get rid of body heat adequately may result in heat illness.
Workers who are exposed to extreme heat or work in hot environments may be at risk of heat stress. Exposure to extreme heat can result in occupational illnesses and injuries. Heat stress can result in heat stroke, heat exhaustion, heat cramps, or heat rashes.
